In the north, the province is woven by the Karski sea and the sea of Laptev. The length of the territory from the north to the mountains of South Siberia is almost 3,000 km. In the east, the province borders the Republic of Saha (Jakutia) and the Irkut region, in the south with the Republic of Tuva and the Republic of Hakasia, in the west with the Republic of Altai, the Kemera and the Tomsk regions, as well as with the Khanta-Mansia and Yamalo-Nenetsk autonomous districts.
